It all began in 1980, as Rick Quanz started repairing cars and trucks out his home garage in Rio Rancho.  Rick quickly outgrew his two-car garage and in 1982 opened Quanz Motor Car Company on Alameda Boulevard.  Because Alameda was expanded from a two-lane road surrounded by farms to a four-lane main corridor to Rio Rancho, the State Highway Department wanted the land and Quanz Motor Car Company was obliged to relocate.  This gave Rick an opportunity to plan for the explosion of growth on the Westside of Albuquerque.

Rick had the vision and foresight to anticipate that the Paseo del Norte and Coors area would be a focal point for development.

After 13 years of business, Rick decided to build his 17,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in the undeveloped area of Paseo del Norte and Eagle Ranch Road.  With 15 fully certified employees and a new facility with the capacity to handle all mechanical, collision and paint requirements Quanz Advanced Auto Care opened in 1993.

In 2002, Quanz Advanced Auto Care expanded by adding a separate mechanical services building totaling 6,800 square feet.  With the expansion and separation of services, Quanz has been able to enhance their menu of services for both mechanical and collision requirements.  This includes little touches that really make a difference when you are having vehicle problems.  We work with a car rental company on site, have a coffee snack shop, and offer full-cycle direct repair.

Quanz has continued to develop over the years due to a philosophy of taking care of both the customer and our employees.  We have strived for excellence in customer service and quality.

Quanz Advanced Auto Care will always be locally family owned for generations to come.
